The Project

Marley Contract Services successfully completed the roofing works package at the Harlaw Pavilion development in Aberdeen on behalf of Morrisons Construction. The project involved the installation of a large-scale pitched roofing system to a new-build community pavilion, delivering a durable, high-quality roofing solution designed to complement the surrounding residential area while providing long-term weather protection and performance.

The pavilion forms an important local community facility and required a professionally managed roofing installation delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the wider construction programme.

Our Approach

Working closely with the principal contractor, Marley Contract Services coordinated all roofing activities to ensure smooth integration with other trades operating on site. Our experienced site management team carefully planned the sequencing of works to maintain programme deadlines while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance throughout the project.

The roofing installation included the full supply and installation of a pitched tiled roof system using Marley Mendip tiles, incorporating hips, ridges, roof detailing, and associated roofing components to achieve a clean and visually striking finish. Due to the scale and visibility of the roof, attention to detail and consistency across the installation were key priorities throughout the works.

The project was carried out within a live construction environment, requiring effective logistics management, material coordination, and close communication with the wider site team to ensure works progressed safely and efficiently.

Health & Safety

Health and safety remained a priority throughout the project. All works were completed in accordance with site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), with safe access systems and working-at-height controls implemented across all phases of the roofing installation.

Our fully trained operatives worked in line with current health and safety legislation and Marley Contract Services’ strict safe operating procedures to maintain a safe and compliant site environment at all times.

The Outcome

The completed roofing installation provided the Harlaw Pavilion with a high-quality, durable, and aesthetically impressive roof finish that complements the modern design of the development. The project was delivered safely, on programme, and to the satisfaction of Morrisons Construction, demonstrating Marley Contract Services’ capability to successfully deliver  new-build roofing projects across Scotland.
