The Project

Marley Contract Services was appointed by North Ayrshire Council to deliver external upgrade works to 14 social housing properties at Sommerville Court, Beith.

The project formed part of the council’s continued investment in improving the quality, appearance, and sustainability of its housing stock. Works included roofing improvements, roughcasting works, and the installation of Solar PV systems to support the council’s ongoing carbon reduction and energy efficiency objectives.

Our Approach

Marley Contract Services took full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, including design, programming, installation, roughcasting works, and overall site management.

Our experienced project delivery team carefully coordinated all phases of the works to ensure the programme progressed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to residents. Close communication with the client, residents, and supply chain partners helped maintain a smooth workflow throughout the 16-week programme.

The external upgrade works included the application of new roughcasting systems to improve both the weather protection and visual appearance of the properties, helping to modernise the development while extending the lifespan of the building exteriors. Alongside the rendering works, integrated Solar PV systems were installed to enhance the energy performance of the homes and contribute towards long-term sustainability goals.

The Outcome
